We've been out of town...a LOT - Part 2

Hello everybody!

Man it's been CRA-ZY at the house this past month. Lets see, we were visiting the family for thanksgiving when I last wrote so I'll start from there.

Whenever we go to see mom's side of the family, we always stay with my mom's sister.

Which is so much fun I so much fun I can hardly stand it! Not only do I have my two cousins Pippie the bull-ador and Lexi the shih tzu (who is a total bitch by the way, and not in a good way) to play with, I also have horses, a guniea pig, and a real pig (who's name is Bacon) to hang out with!

I freaking love that little guinea pig. He runs around his cage in circles and lets me chase him, we have a lot of fun. Although the humans don't like it when Peanut (that's his name) and I play together, I don't care because we have a lot of fun!

Here we are playing chase

That's about all that happened that trip I think...Oh, Lexi stole my bed for most of my time there so I had to sleep in hers...which was NOT comfy by the way

We've been out of town...a LOT - Part 1

I has been SO LONG since mom has let me write to you guys.

I'm really sorry.

We have been out of town a LOT! Well more like mom and dad have been out of town a lot, and they haven't taken me with them too much.

The first weekend of November I got to stay with my friend Blue Dog and his mom Leanne. He likes to act like he's this grumpy old man, but I can usually get him up and moving around. He always tries to tell me what to do and herd me around the house though and I don't like that. Mom says it's because he's a Blue Heeler, but I think he's bossy (kinda like him mom, but don't tell HER I said that).

The next weekend I got to stay home with mom and dad and we played and went to the park, then then next weekend I got to hang out with my friends Chloe, Timmy, & Rufus (and their mom and dad) while mom and dad were in Nu-bras-ka (weirdest name ever) for a wedding. I had SO much fun playing with those 3. Well...mostly Chloe just watched me while I told Timmy & Rufus what to do (Hello...Head B*tch in charge up in here!)
When they came to pick me up I was really really tired. I fell asleep in the back of the car before we even got out of their neighborhood. Those boys really know how to show a gal a fun time!

Then we were home for all of two days, when mom got some really bad news. Her grandma passed away. She was really sad. Mom is always really good about making me feel better when I'm sad so I did my best to try to make her feel better by letting her play with my ball.
But she said she was too sad to play so we held paws instead.

We left later that day we drove back to where mom grew up as a puppy so we could see the rest of the family for the funeral and to celebrate thanksgiving (not that anybody was very celebratory this year).

Part 2 (the happier part) coming up later.

Howl-o-wiggle!

Mom's second favorite holiday of the year is Howl-o-wiggle (or Halloween for you lamo's). I don't remember much of last year because I was only 5 months old (in human time or like 3 years in puppy time), but I do remember mom putting me in my costume.

Dad laughed at me, but I thought I was pretty cute! Mom did too.

This year, mom said she couldn't find one at the store that would fit me and we didn't have time to order one. So...I had to reuse last years costume this year (which is like a big no no for your children let me tell ya'). Here's me NOT happy that I had to have the same costume 2 years in a row, and it's a little snug if I might add (mom,  get with the program next year and make me a different one)

Last week we decorated the house. Here's a picture of me hanging out with the pumpkins.

And here's one of me playing with all of mom's decorations...maybe I wasn't supposed to, but they were a lot of fun to play with :-)

After all that decorating, I had to take a nap. Seriously, decorating with mom is extream, she goes all out.
Tonight mom and I are watching Howl-o-ween movies while dad is passing out candy. I gotta say all these people coming to the door to play with me is like the best part of the entire night. It is SO much fun, although I don't know why half the time they get scared when they see me. I know I'm a big dog but still, I'd never hurt anydog. Seriously, just ask Aunt Courtney's shitzu Lexi or Greg's boston Jax. I let them kick my butt all the time and I never bite back.

Uh-oh, there's the doorbell again! Time to go say hi to some new friends!!

Until next time!

Total Crap

For the record when I've been a good dog all week, it is total cat crap that I get sent to the pet hotel for the night. I mean, I was away from mom and dad, although they did send me there in the first place...I'll have to think on that for a minute.

Anyway, the pet hotel gave me an A+ on my report card (which is way better than the C- I got the first time I stayed there, when they sent a note home with dad saying that I should probably go to obedience school) and they also said that I "got along with all of the other dogs in my play group and that I was kind and cutr cuterious friendly to everyone, but I didn't eat all my food." Well duah, their food is NOT the good kind that I have at home.

I don't know where mom and dad went that they couldn't take me, but they don't need to go there again.

When they finally came back to get me, mom was all trying to pet me, but I was having none of that. They BOTH had some serious groveling to do before we are ok again. Here is me totally ignoring them the entire way home.

Mom finally started to feel bad, because when they stopped to get themselves hamburgers (yuck) they got me some french fries.

If you need to know one thing about me, it's that I. LOVE. FRENCH FRIES! Well, I love potatoes really. I eat them raw when mom accidentally drops them on the floor, I like the mashed kind that dad leaves on his plate for me to eat (when he's not paying attention), but my FAVORITE is when they are french fried.

After that I let them out of the dog house, but I made mom cuddle with me as punishment. I call it punishment because I took up the entire couch, laid across her face, and put my feet right in her stomach the entire time.

She is really warm though, and she lets me sleep and doesn't move me around like dad does. She's a pretty good cuddler.

Death of a squeaker toy

Ok so after a year and a half it finally happened...I killed a toy.

I didn't mean to kill it, I swear. It was just a little out of it's cover, but mom was scared I was going to choke on it or something so she took it away. Which was crap because it totally still squeaked!

She thought she was smart in hiding it in the garbage can (ew), but as the smartest dog alive lids don't stop me. I mean, I learned to open doors woman. Opening the garbage can by stepping on the lever is  puppy's play.

So while she was in the shower I rescued my toy and continued to play with it...

Which was apparently NOT a good dog of me because when she got out and found it like this:
not only did I get a spanking for getting in the trash can but she took it away AGAIN! This time though she put it outside and locked the door on her way back in (unlocking doors is not a skill set I have mastered yet, but I'm thinking its time that changed).  Kong, you were a good Wubba and you will be very much missed.

P.S. Check out what I found in the drawer of dog toys after the burial of Wubba (I can open drawers too, told you I was the smartest dog ever).

Bark Park & Cleaning Time

Yesterday was a REALLY fun day. Mom and I slept in really late and then she took me to the bark park where I made a lot of new friends. There were 4 other boxers there and they were the same age as me! We RULED the place, everybody wanted to play with us and pet our wiggle butts!

They make the big dogs and the little dogs go into separate play areas, which is totally stupid because I like playing with all shapes, sizes, and colors of dogs (mom says I can't discriminate and I have to play with everybody nicely). The coolest thing ever though was that this human brought her little dog in there to play with us, we were having a great time running around making her chase us.

Mom was hanging out talking to Lucky and Lilias mom (those were the other boxers at the park) and the little dogs human got REALLY mad that we were playing with her. She picked her up and started yelling at us. I ran straight to mom and gave her my best "I didn't do it" look, she said that I wasn't in trouble and it wasn't my fault. Which was a good thing because all I was doing was playing, I never touched that little girl at all, even when she bite ME!

Laila's mom got mad at the lady and told her that if she was going to flip out about us all playing together then she needed to keep the little dog in the little dog part of the park. Humans are nuts.

So after we got home from the park, I was really tired. Mom started cleaning the house so I figured she wouldn't miss me if I went in the other room and took a nap. I don't know why she made the bed, it's way more comfy when all the covers are squished up around you. I fixed all the covers and took a nap. Apparently mom got worried about me because she was calling for me and looking all over the house, but I was just sooo tired I couldn't get up. When she came into the room she flipped the lights on and saw my head sticking out of my little cocoon. It was so bright and then she uncovered me, which sucked because it was cold in there....

See, totally minding my own business not bothering anything for once and she wakes me up and makes me move. I guess she DID stick up for me at the park today so it's only fair that I get up and help her clean.
I'm totally a natural at this cleaning thing. For real, if you need my help let mom know. My specialties are chasing the vacuum, stealing the dust rags dad leaves on the floor, and helping scrub the couch cushions that I may or may/not have messed up.

Until next time!

Let's do this

Ok so mom is always saying that I'm like, the best girl ever. Until I destroy something, then I'm not such a good girl anymore. She also says that I'm pretty funny, our friends always laugh when they hear the things I've done. I always see mom and dad on this light up thing with the noise coming out of it typing away, and I thought, if I can learn how to roll over and play dead, I'm pretty sure I can figure this thing out as well. So from now on you get to hear about my life from me, not the made up or "fabricated" stories my parents tell. They totally exaggerate about the bad things I've done anyway. I mean, it wasn't even 6 entire computer cords. It was more like 4 and a half.

Everyday is an adventure in our house, so get ready, because your a part of it now!
